Booking Photos After Release
A Park County booking photo is part of the jail or criminal-justice record tied to a custody event. It is not the same thing as proof that a person is currently in custody, and it is not the same thing as a court disposition. A person can leave Park County Jail and still have a booking record, court case, VINE status history, probation record, CDOC record, or federal record depending on the custody path.
Colorado's criminal-justice records framework matters here. RIMS and App Limits
No official Park County Colorado sheriff mobile app showing recent releases or mugshots was confirmed in the reviewed sources. The jail page shows a Securus Mobile App image in the inmate-services context, but that is a communications or vendor context, not a Park County sheriff release-list app. The RIMS platform is web-based and includes current-custody information. Source review found photo-related labels in the RIMS app code, but did not confirm a public release-list route or a guaranteed public photo for every booking.
That means the safest public statement is narrow: RIMS may help while a person is currently listed, but a released person normally falls out of current custody. If you are looking for the booking photo after release, the sheriff records request is the more durable local route. Use the 24-hour release list workflow only to understand same-day custody confirmation, not to expect a mugshot archive.
Requesting a Booking Photo
The most reliable local channel for a released Park County booking photo is a request to the Park County Sheriff's Office. A clear request should identify the person by full name, date of birth if known, approximate booking date, release date if known, booking number if known, and case number if known. Ask specifically for the booking photograph if publicly releasable, and also request the booking or release sheet if you need the photo tied to a release event.
- Confirm whether the person was held at Park County Jail or under another agency's authority.
- Gather identifiers: name, date of birth if known, booking date, booking number, and court case number.
- Ask the sheriff for the booking photograph and any releasable booking/release record that identifies release date, release reason, or hold agency.
- Use Park Combined Court records separately when the question is disposition, sentence, probation, sealing, or case status.
- Use CDOC for a state-prison offender photo, BOP for federal custody status, and ICE channels for immigration custody. Those are separate systems.
Park County's fee schedule lists case photos at $2.50 each. It also lists case reports at $7.50 up to the first 10 pages plus $0.25 for each additional page, a $10 records check, and research, retrieval, or redaction processing at $30 per hour with a one-hour minimum. Those fee facts do not guarantee release of every photo. They tell you what the county has published for records and photo handling.

CDOC Photos Are Separate
A CDOC photo belongs to the state-prison record, not the Park County jail booking record. Use CDOC Offender Search when the person was sentenced to state prison, paroled from state prison, returned on a parole violation, discharged from CDOC, or transferred from Park County Jail into DOC custody. CDOC search fields include DOCNO, last name, first name, and gender. Search tips say the DOC number is the primary identifier and that name fields return matches beginning with the typed letters.
For a released-inmate photo inquiry, read a CDOC result for identity, DOC number, status, facility or discharge information, dates, and any photo shown in the public profile. Do not treat a CDOC image as a Park County booking photo. If the question is what happened at the county jail, request the county record from the sheriff. If the question is the state-prison release or discharge record, confirm with CDOC because its disclaimer says database information can contain inaccuracies and should be confirmed with the department.
News and Activity Reports
The Park County Sheriff's Office Activity Report archive is an official local source, but it is not a mugshot gallery and not a recent-release roster. It can contain weekly activity reports, including 2026 and older archived reports. Use it only as a context source when an official notice directly relates to a custody event. Do not assume that absence from the archive means no arrest or no release.

Sealing and Photo Access
Sealing can affect public access to a criminal case or related records. Colorado Judicial Branch materials explain that a sealed record is no longer accessible to the public, while courts, prosecutors, and criminal-justice agencies may retain access under law. Juvenile, suppressed, protected, confidential, or active-investigation material can also be restricted. A released person's booking photo may therefore be available in one context and restricted in another.
Colorado has also had public debate and legislation around commercial mugshot sites and removal practices. For Park County released-inmate work, the practical rule is to avoid commercial mugshot-removal sites and use official records channels. If a public official source has a photo that you believe should no longer be public because of sealing or another legal restriction, contact the record custodian or the court that handled the case.
Use limit. Public-record information should be verified with the originating government office before anyone relies on it for an official purpose.
Sex Offender Registry Context
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation sex offender registry is a separate public channel for people required to register under sex-offender laws. It is not a general released-inmate mugshot page and should not be used as a substitute for Park County Jail records.
